The course introduces students to computing theory and the use of various computing applications. The objectives of the course are (a) to convey an understanding of the operations of computers (b) to develop in the students the facility to use the computer to produce financial and management reports and (d) enable students to use computer technology to benefit the organisation. Upon completion of the course students will be able to apply such learning to improve decision making in relation to applicable systems, processes, hardware and software infrastructure to fully utilise the benefits improved information technology systems can bring to an organisation.
