This course is designed to provide the participants with an understanding of the theory and practice of auditing and      to convey an understanding of the role of the auditor and the objectives of auditor's report in statutory audits. The course attempts to provide an overall framework within which the audit process is conducted and within this framework to deal with the issues of risk assessment, testing and audit evidence in relation to cash, inventories, fixed assets, receivables and payroll. Theoretical and practical issues are demonstrated using published decided cases which have influenced the evolution of auditing.

Participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of public sector management and analysis. The course seeks to facilitate an analysis of management in this sector. Managers who possess significant experience and skills and beginners who need the basic foundations will both benefit, albeit in different ways. The varied groups and individuals will have a common understanding of the foundation concepts that would provide the premise for advanced training, and improved practice in public sector management.


Supply Chain Management emphasises the importance of efficiently managing the organisation’s material resources and includes the design and implementation of supplies systems and techniques. The overall objective is to enable participants to acquire an appreciation for the principles and practices and its impact on other functions within an organisation.
