GMP 2022 (Cohort 1)

This course is designed to provide participants with a general understanding of the management environment. In this course, participants will be introduced to the principles, theories and guiding thoughts contributing to the practice of management in organisations as well as develop a general understanding of the macro-economic environment and its implications for management. In addition to providing participants with the philosophical underpinnings of ethics, participants will also be equipped with the knowledge and skills to implement and manage change, and improve business processes and business facilitation within their organisations.

This course is designed to give participants an understanding of the management practices in organisations. Participants will explore organisational designs, corporate and strategic planning, organisation behaviour and the fundamentals of financial management.

This course is designed to provide participants with an understanding of essential principles and practices of strategic human resource management. It focuses on the relevant competencies that managers need to enable them to increase both employee well-being and organisational effectiveness. Additionally, the course will facilitate participants' examination of current issues in the discipline.
