Central to the remit of human resource practitioners is to effectively attract, retain and motivate the organisation’s human resources, while conserving its other resources. This course will explore the various approaches to compensation and reward. It will analyse why organisations utilise different “models” for reward and compensation. HR has moved away from the transactional, paper-pushing, hiring/firing support function, and now is being required to embrace the critical role of becoming a key strategic business partner; whilst impacting the bottom-line of the organisation. Consequently, this course is designed to equip participants with the skills and competencies to facilitate sound recruitment and selection decisions. The learning outcomes are designed to help participants better appreciate the business benefits and strategic importance of recruitment and selection. They will examine the existing and emerging framework, key areas and concepts, trends and best practices, while learning to apply scientific methods to the recruitment and selection processes.
