Alignment to Public Sector Learning Framework (PSLF) Technical Competencies

The Public Sector Learning Framework (PSLF) is considered by the Government of Jamaica to be a coherent policy framework for human resource development within the public sector. The Framework, when implemented, will bring together new and on-going public sector training and development initiatives within a common infrastructure, with the suitable delivery mechanisms and administrative linkages to support an efficient and effective human resource development environment. It is geared towards creating a culture of learning, and greater efficiency and responsiveness across the sector. A key delivery to cause the successful implementation of the PSLF is the Competency Framework which in essence, facilitates the establishment of specific professional pathways across the public sector. These pathways establish core professional groups defined by standards of practice at each level of professional maturity. One such pathway is Project Management which has four (4) progressive levels of advancement (Level 1 being the lowest).

The competencies that aligned to the Fundamentals of Project Management Course are as follows:
